Regional Secretariats
The International Steering Group consists of a minimum of fifteen persons representing active regions of the global network, and a maximum of six non-regional members.
All ISG members are decision-makers who may fully participate in discussions and engage in consensus-building.
The ISG is the primary governing body of the GPPAC global network. In addition, the ISG:
- Sets GPPAC’s strategic directions and plans, including its vision, mission, values and goals; and leads the development of GPPAC’s strategic plans;
- Establishes the framework for policy, planning, and financial management to realize GPPAC’s goals;
- Approves nominations of members to serve on the GPPAC Foundation Board;
- Monitors the network’s performance, including the work of the GPPAC Global Secretariat, to ensure that it is achieving the GPPAC strategic plan;
- Determines network structures and programmes and advises on the allocation of financial and human resources;
- Undertakes regular, systematic reviews of the programming of the network;
- Makes decisions regarding programme implementation and advocacy activities at the global level;
- Decides on fundraising priorities and global and regional fundraising targets, and
- Remains informed regarding the political, social and economic environments in which GPPAC projects take place, as well as the overall funding conditions, and identifies key global priorities for GPPAC.
