Participant of the Cameras in Hands project to empower youth in Kyrgyzstan

Youth

We focus on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2250, making youth participation in peace processes an absolute priority.

Youth mainstreaming is a cross-cutting priority for GPPAC. We believe that sustainable peace can only be achieved with the participation of all members of society, regardless of any particular aspects of their identity, such as gender, religion, race, class, age, or nationality.

Youth are active agents in both war and peace; they can be both victims and perpetrators of violence, as well as agents of change in peaceful conflict resolution. Women contribute to human security in their local communities, as well as at national, regional, and international levels.

We support GPPAC regions to integrate youth-sensitive peacebuilding perspectives into their work. It also contributes a conflict prevention perspective to global advocacy efforts on youth, peace and security issues. Find out more in our Youth Policy.
