Supporting Women’s Impactful Participation in Peace Processes: Learnings from Kyrgyzstan, Uganda, and Palestine

Our learning paper was launched during Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Week in New York at our event, “Making Global Policy Effective in Supporting Women’s Impactful Participation in Peace Processes: Learnings from Kyrgyzstan, Uganda, and Palestine.”

The panel featured women peacebuilders: Tajyka Shabdanova, President of the Foundation for Tolerance International; Marion Akiteng, Project Coordinator of the Center for Conflict Resolution; and Anwaar Oweineh, Media Coordinator of Middle East Non-Violence and Democracy.

Discover our new learning paper, which documents the experiences of GPPAC’s civil society partners and lessons learned as one of the international implementing partners for the United Nations Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund's Rapid Response Window, focusing on projects in Uganda, Central Asia, and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This paper offers key recommendations for practitioners, policymakers, and donors, all aimed at advancing women’s meaningful participation in peace efforts worldwide.
