Women as Peacemakers in Yumbe District, Uganda

Yumbe District, situated in North Western Uganda, borders the conflict-affected Democratic
Republic of Congo (DRC) and South Sudan. In this fragile environment, where potential spillovers easily threaten peace, GPPAC member CECORE empowers women with
practical skills and knowledge to influence peace efforts in their communities through the
project ''Women as Peacemakers: Transforming Peace in Yumbe District'' financially supported by the WPHF Rapid Response Window.
