Symposium overview:

The GPPAC Peace Education Working Group is hosting the Northeast Asia Restorative Justice Online Symposium from 28 October to 23 November 2024 which will focus on innovations in the field of restorative justice in education (RJE) that are making significant impacts in local, state, and regional, and international communities.

It aims to strengthen networks of RJE practitioners and policymakers in Northeast Asia and beyond. Participants will exchange best practices, evaluation methodology, structures for the creation of policy implementation, identified obstacles to success, and new and innovative uses of training, resources and technology. By making connections both between practice and policy and between different contexts, this symposium creates a space to showcase lessons learned and build on best practices from diverse contexts to further RJE.

The following weekly thematic sessions will include:

  • Monday, October 28 - Friday, November 1: Overview of RJ Practices Around the Globe - Primary and Secondary Education
