2020 Voices of SDG16+: Stories for Global Action Video Campaign Call for Submission

It is with great excitement that we are launching the 2020 Voices of SDG16+: Stories for Global Action Video Campaign, under the theme of “SDG16+ and COVID-19: Local Actions for Global Solutions”.

Building on the resounding success of the 2019 Voices of SDG16+ campaign, this year’s video campaign will ask people and partners around the world to share short videos showcasing how they are contributing to the advancement of SDG16+, particularly in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We invite participants to showcase how local actions support global solutions. We hope to receive contributions that illustrate how local action on SDG16+ is central to the response to and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the principles of SDG16+ provide the foundation for shaping more peaceful, just and inclusive societies.

The most compelling videos will be shared widely in the lead up to and during the 2020 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) from 7-16 July 2020. The top 5 storytellers will be invited to present and share their stories during a dedicated 2020 HLPF Side-Event.

We invite participants to showcase how local actions support global solutions.

Deadline for submissions: Latest by 2pm CET - Sunday, 21 June 2020

Selection and Criteria:
A total of 10 videos will be selected by the campaign to be featured in our ongoing virtual outreach on behalf of the campaign throughout 2020. Additionally, the top 5 videos will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual side-event at the 2020 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, set to be hosted from the 7-16 July 2020. You can find a full list of the criteria for this video campaign here, which will be used by Voices of SDG16+ Campaign partners in selection of these videos.
